After Iran’s victory against North Korea in the 2016 AFC U-16 Championship Semi-final round, Nojavanan coach, Abbas Chamanyan said, “We had a very good match, and we played calculated. It was a very difficult match. We went to the locker-room as winners after the first half; in the second half North Korea increased the pressure and the game changed.”

He added, “After they scored, we had a couple of good chances but failed to convert. But we are happy, because the players reached what they deserved. After the group-stage match against Saudi Arabia, I did say┬áthat we are here to go to the final.”
