Persepolis and Esteghlal gain three points each [highlights]

1918 Views The Reds and The Blues of Tehran both gained three points from their Esfahani opponents.

Peresepolis defeated Sepahan 2-1 in Azadi Stadium, with goals from Mehdi Taremi (56′) and Ramin Rezaeian (88′ P) for The Reds, and a goal from Taleb Reykani (81′ P) for The Yellow Storm of Asia. Persepolis remains on top of the Iran Pro League table, with 50 points from 22 matches.

Esteghlal also defeated its opponent from Esfahan (Zob Ahan). This match ended 2-0 in favour of the Tehrani visitors to Fooladshahr. Farshid Esmaeili (23′) and Behnam Barzai (79′) scored for The Blues. With this victory, third place Esteghlal widened the gap between fourth place Zob Ahan; The Blues now have 40 points, which is seven more than Zob Ahan.

Elsewhere, Foolad vs Gostaresh ended in a 2-2 draw.
