191 Views Rostov was narrowly defeated in Madrid, in the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League group stage.

Sardar Azmoun’s bad header, that was meant to be a clearance, was utilized by Griezmann in the 28th minute, as the Frenchman scored the first goal of the match.

But just two minutes later, Azmoun equalized the match for the visitors.

Rostov almost left Madrid with a point, but in the 90+3 minute, Griezmann won the game for the Spanish giants with another opportunistic maneuver.

Azmoun and his club have only gained one point from four matches, and can no longer advance to the next stage of this edition of the UEFA Champions League, however, they do have the chance to transfer to Europa League, if they finish third in the group.

On November 6th, Rostov will host Arsenal Tula in the Russian Premier League.
